Department of Housing (Vote 8) – Resolution 84/2004 – Efficient rental collection mechanisms

Noting: Resolution 32/2003 of the Public Accounts Committee, which resolved that the department submit a comprehensive report by 31 January 2004 on the progress made on this matter and;

The response of the department that progress in this matter depends on the adoption of debt recovery procedures and policies and on the adoption of a debt forgiveness policy;

The House resolves:

That the Accounting Officer of the Department of Housing report to the Public Accounts Committee by 31 January 2005, and quarterly thereafter, on the latest position with regard to this matter.
