Executive Committee Member of the Port Shepstone Peace Committee (1992-1995).
Past Secretary of the Port Shepstone Football Association(1981).
Co - Chair of the Port Shepstone Local Govt Negotiating Forum.
Chairman of the Executive Committee, Port Shepstone TLC (1995).
Speaker of Hibiscus Local Municipality (2000-2004).
Speaker of Ugu District Municipality( 2004-2009).
Practicing Attorney for approximately 20 years.
