To facilitate public involvement in the legislative and policy formulation processes of Legislature and its committees and to improve the public image of Legislature.

Key activities

* Facilitate public participation in the legislative processes and conduct outreach programmes
* Monitor and evaluate outreach programmes
* Conduct public and democracy education on the legislative processes
* Organise civic education workshops, public hearings and campaigns
* Produce publications on the functioning of the Legislature
* Ensure effective communication between the Legislature and the public
* Design and implement strategies to inform public/civil society about the Legislature and how it works
* Provide information to interest groups, media, community based organisations and non-governmental
   organisations
* Organise official events of the Legislature
* Conduct tours of Legislature for visitors
* Liaise with the media regarding all Legislature activities
* Create and maintain good relations with the media including handling journalists during Legislature
   sittings
* Maintain correspondence registry
