Department of Health (Vote 7) - Resolution 1/2004 – Contingent Liability
Noting: Resolution 60/2003 of the Public Accounts Committee and the fact that the Department of Health and the Department of Public Works had not reached an agreement on the amount of R14 026 000 said to be owed by the Department of Health to the Department of Works;
The House resolves:
1. That the Accounting Officers of the Department of Health and the Department of Works report to the Public Accounts Committee by 30 November 2004 setting out the progress that has been made so far in resolving the dispute between the two departments regarding the amount of R14 026 000 said to be owed by the Department of Health to the Department of Works and to clear that amount from the financial statements.
2. That the Accounting Officer of the Provincial Treasury be requested to mediate between the two departments to resolve this matter.
