Department of Health (Vote 7) – Resolution 5/2004 - Public Private Partnership – Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital
Noting: That item 4.6 of the report of the Auditor-General highlighted a number of areas where the project agreements and output specifications were not being complied with, which seem to indicate lack of strict control in the monitoring of the contracts by the Department;
The House resolves:
1. That the Accounting Officer of the Department of Health ensure that effective management of the Public Private Partnership with the two consortiums for the supply of equipment, information management and technology, facilities management and all associated services for the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital be put in place so that ongoing compliance with the terms of the agreement can be closely monitored by the department.
2. That the Accounting Officer report back to the committee by 31 January 2005 on the steps taken to ensure compliance.
