The Standing Committee on Public Accounts calls for the re-launch of the existing crime "hot line" for crime reporting by way of an intense public awareness campaign, and further that a 10% reward of money recovered be offered to informers whose information lead to the recovery of funds.
The Committee further calls on all Departments to report progress on dealing with all pending prosecutions, and also on the process in reducing the numbers of outstanding disciplinary hearings to the Committee, and the relevant Portfolio Committee every three months and for the Auditor-General to audit these submissions during the audit of the department and report back to the Committee.
